A bank-corporation, known as a bancorp, is a gigacorp variation that primarily deals in matters related to the seamless operation of the Consolidated Asset Grid (CAG) and its infrastructure. The name was adapted from the old world industry known as banking; banks formed the backbone of the global financial system.
