Hypercapitalism

Hypercapitalism is the dominant economic and social system on Vex, emerging after the collapse of traditional nation-states and governments during the Post-Sovereign Economic Phase (PSEP). This economic model represents an extreme form of capitalism, where the primary driving force is the maximization of profit, and where corporate entities dominate all facets of life, including governance, infrastructure, and even social relations.

In a hypercapitalist society, the market dictates nearly every aspect of life, from the availability of resources to the social order. The state no longer plays a central role in managing the economy or enforcing social structures. Instead, corporations have assumed not only economic power but also political, military, and societal control. The idea of “private property” extends beyond traditional land and goods to include labor, data, and even access to essential resources, with the goal of continuous accumulation of wealth and capital.
