MoB Velv Corporation
The Merchants of Bethesda in Velv Corporation, known as MoB Velv Corporation or just MoB Velv, is a gigacorp domiciled in Velv MR in the continent of Eos. MoB Velv is considered a satellite entity belonging to the prominent gigacorp cluster that also owns the Merchants of Bethesda MR, the equal partners Frosche Limited, AzureLanesCorp, and PortoBanc. MoB Velv was established in Velv MR in the year 2354, in response to hostilities from Eosite gigacorps in key shipping lanes near the southern rim of the continent of Bethesda. Due to the vast resources of the gigacorp cluster, MoB Velv was established from day one as a gigacorp.
MoB Velv primarily deals in the manufacturing of foodstuffs, global shipping routes, and vehicle service stations across Velv. The gigacorp also owns D217, a prominent financial district of Velv with 2.8 million registered inhabitants tied to ShepherdAI, the AGI running on one of Velv MR’s most powerful supercomputers. ShepherdAI was developed by MoB Velv and established as a proxy for the Merchants of Bethesda to operate D217’s inhabitants.

MoB Velv's operating memorandum states that its primary purpose is to help bridge the economic discrepancy between the Merchants of Bethesda and Velv. It leverages its logistics infrastructure and routes over the Azure Ocean in order to more effectively gain market share in Velv MR’s retail sector. Its home base in Bethesda grants many trade synergies along the southern tip of the Eos and by extension Velv. MoB Velv operates 415 supercargo vessels, some specially outfitted for covert missions.
